Worm Gear Oils
High viscosity and EP for the sliding contact characteristic of worm gears
Worm gears generate a unique type of contact — pure sliding between the wheel flanks and the worm — requiring high viscosity and specific EP additives different from conventional gear oils. Worm gear oils incorporate additives that protect both the steel worm and the bronze wheel without attacking the latter material.
