Thermal Oils

Heat transfer in industrial heating systems

Thermal oils (heat transfer fluids) transport thermal energy at temperatures above those of water without pressurising the system. They are used in industrial heating installations, reactors, presses, and processes requiring controlled and uniform temperature. The selection of viscosity grade and base (mineral or synthetic) depends on the maximum process temperature.
