Open Gear Greases
High adhesiveness and extreme EP for exposed rings and pinions
Open gears — large ring gears, pinions, racks — work under extreme load conditions, with surfaces exposed to the environment and no lubricant retention from a housing. Open gear greases combine high base viscosity, adhesive thickener, and an EP additive package to protect contact surfaces against impacts, vibration, and high loads.
